The Foreign Language Media Center (FLMC) provides technological support for languages taught at Florida Atlantic University. The FLMC aims to improve the proficiency of foreign language learners in reading, writing, and listening by improving the quality of in-class instruction by providing instructors and students with technological and theoretical assistance, the latest interactive software, computers, and audio/video equipment. The FLMC also seeks to provide a technology-enhanced environment that promotes communication and interaction among students and instructors, and inform the attitudes of language students toward the culture of the language, by incorporating authentic material (via the internet, and synchronous and asynchronous communications).
