| Dr. Nikoloutsos holds degrees of B.A., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Classics from the Universities of Thessaloniki, Edinburgh, and Birmingham (U.K.) respectively. His research field is Roman love poetry from the late Republican and early Augustan period, with an emphasis on representations of same-sex desire and the interrelation between erotics, poetics, and politics. His dissertation The Male Beloved in Roman Love Poetry was funded by the Onassis Foundation ( Athens ) and is currently being revised for publication. At FAU, he teaches Classics and Modern Greek. His position is partially funded by the Hellenic Society Paideia of South Florida. |
